Description: Hike south through Pamet hills and woodlands with striking ocean views

Place to Meet:   Meet at southern end of Ballston Beach parking lot,
South Pamet Road, Truro

Driving/Parking Directions:  Turn off Rt. 6 at Pamet sign. Take right then immediate left onto South Pamet Road. Follow to end of road and parking lot

Beach/Parking/ Resident permit may be required during the Summer months

Start: (note: underlined words have links to pictures)

  • South Pamet Road to LEFT turn at end of chain link fence
  • Woodland path to first RIGHT turn up steep hill
  • LEFT on Fire Road & LEFT again on first wooded path
  • Turn RIGHT at sand road leading to beach & immediate LEFT onto path
  • LEFT at next fork heading EAST
  • RIGHT at 4-way intersection alongside ocean cliffs taking first LEFT fork heading SOUTH
  • Veer to RIGHT at top of wide, sandy hill & down road, STRAIGHT through shooting range and Geology Research Lab
  • RIGHT onto first woodland path & RIGHT at next fork
  • LEFT at fork onto road & LEFT again on path at 4-way intersection
  • Path veers to RIGHT & downhill to first LEFT turn on sand road
  • Take first RIGHT onto path just before Collins Road
  • RIGHT turn at next T
  • Follow narrow wooded path to Fire Road
  • LEFT on Fire road and RIGHT back to parking lot
