Parking: Parking lot for
the Shining Sea bike path in Falmouth,
0.4 mile west of Route 28 on Locust Road.

Obtain a schedule for the Steamship Authority ferry to Martha's
Vineyard
on line from one of the Cape Cod portal sites on our home
page.
Plan a trip over to Oak Bluffs, returning from either Oak Bluffs
or
Vineyard Haven.
Ride to the Woods Hole ferry terminal on the Shining Sea bike path,
approximately three miles.
Buy round trip tickets for yourself and your bike.
Walk your bike on to the ferry when directed by the attendant.
Walk your bike off the ferry, after all the cars have been unloaded.
Ride to the left at Beach Road, following the sign to Edgartown.
Enjoy a spectacular seven mile ride into Edgartown on the bike path.
Follow the sign to Edgartown Center. Park and lock your bike
at one
of the bike stands.
Walk to the Visitors Center on Church Street for rest rooms, maps,
information.
Enjoy walking around Edgartown. Have lunch where you wish.
Return to Oak Bluffs. Park and lock your bike, and walk around
the quaint campground area. Notice that bikes are not permitted.
OR: Ride directly to Vineyard Haven from Edgartown on the
bike path,
about eight miles.
Ride from Oak Bluffs to Vineyard Haven, about three miles.
Board ferry in Vineyard Haven, or ride (back) to Oak Bluffs, depending
on your planned departure. You can change your mind and return
from
either terminal.
From Woods Hole, ride back on the Shining Sea bike path.
